Sue and Ki came back from California with junk for four fabulous projects. You can read more about their trip in this month's Junking Journal.
HOSE-NOZZLE ORGANIZER
Sue found old hose nozzles at the Sunset Drive-In Theater Super Sunday Swap Meet for about $7 each and quickly grabbed eight. After some crafty thinking, she and Ki used them to make a pretty peg-board organizer for cut flower vases.
Step 1. Remove the glass from an old window (wear gloves and safety glasses).
Step 2. Cut beaded board to fit behind the window.
Step 3. Paint the beaded board a chosen color. (Sue and Ki picked a pretty bluish gray.) Let dry.
Step 4. Nail the beaded board to the back of the window frame.
Step 5. Nail white molding around the edges.
Step 6. Drill 1 1/2-inch threaded pipes into the beaded board, equal distances apart.
Step 7. Screw in hose nozzles into the threaded pipes.
Step 8. Screw two sturdy hangers onto the back of the project.
Step 9. Hang from wall studs, or reinforce with wall anchors.
